He... Has That Look...

Here is a conversation that I had with my Soldier the other day at work:

Soldier: "Hey, have you listened to the Gavin DeGraw album I gave you?"

Me: "No, I haven't got around to it just yet."

Soldier: "Is Gavin DeGraw gay?"

Me: "Hmmm... I'm not sure. Let me look it up real quick."

Now, before I go further I want to explain the intentions of my Soldier's question. When he asked me about GD, he did not ask spitefully or mockingly. He asked for the sake of asking. Now this brings us to where we are now.

Of course, as you should have guessed by now, I Googled "Is Gavin DeGraw gay?" The very first result is a hot link to Yahoo! Answers, thus, I clicked it. As I read the question I was just dumbfounded by the way the question was worded:

I was listening to his song "Chariot" and I looked him up on google
images to see if he was hot lol and idk, he just looked kind of, gay. Does anyone
know if he is?

He just looked kind of gay? As opposed to looking kind of straight?

These two have so much in common, I can see how the person would say that Gavin DeGraw 'looks' gay. We all know Neil Patrick Harris is openly gay. So, now that we have a 'template' to work with, let's see how they add up.

Well, for one, I'll say the obvious, they're both white; both have hair, teeth, two eyes, adams-apples; both are wearing shirts! Maybe I should not have elected to use headshots for their pictures, I could have made many more correlations to how Gavin DeGraw has to be gay because he 'looks' it.
