Congratulations To Me!

Since I'm back on here and trying to keep it as 'active' as possible, I started reading through my previous posts (all five LOL). My first blog was entitled Miserable Relationships. On that particular blog I took the time to place some labels on the post. Since today is a slow day for another 2 hours, I decided to Google 'Miserable Relationships' and see where my post showed up.

It is my honor to inform my readers (which, so far, is just myself) that of approximately 1.81 million results found, my post was number 130! That's in like the top 7%! I am definitely moving on up in the world and just you wait, my blog WILL be number one someday. I just hope I'm alive for it. From now on, I need to place labels to increase my hits.

The lesson to take away from this blog:

"If you have a picture of you and me* somewhere, keep it. It will definitely be worth some money in the future. BIG money that is."

*If these are embarassing pictures, you are required by normal, human decency to delete this picture and never speak of it again. What kind of POTUS will people look at me as if I'm doing a keg stand?

Connecting The Dots...

I remember when I first opened this account I expected to be on here all the time expressing my thoughts for the world to see. Unfortunately, I just realized that my last blog was posted back in November of last year. To say that I don't have the time to write and post blogs would be a long shot from the truth. It's not that I don't have the time, it's that I prioritize my time to tend to other aspects of my life right now. This blog right here is to connect the dots from my previous blog and give an idea of where this blog might lead to in the future.

A recap of my last blog in one sentence: I did not want this current deployment to cause time to pass between my friends and me, thus causing us to drift apart. I said I would do my best to keep in touch with my friends through email, Myspace and Facebook.

Unfortunately, I have done a horrible job of keeping in touch with many of my friends. I have no excuse for this, but I do have my reasons. Work and school have taken up all of my time. And, unless you are fluent in military lingo -- Army talk to be specific -- I would be wasting much of my typing time explaining my work side. (Not that I have readers who read this, but hey, I try!) School is almost self-explainable. During my first semester I took four online classes. These classes took up all of my free time out here. By the time I was able to put my books down for the night, the only thing I wanted to do was sleep.

Now my first semester is done with and my next classes (another four online and a fifth one is face-to-face) don't start until the 30th of this month. I've been basking in my free time and thought I should give this little spot of mine in the online world a little update.

With work being a 24 hour part of my life (deployments do that to you) it's no surprise that many of my future blogs will reference the Army quite a bit. Most of it will be me venting, some of it might be some personal thoughts on Army doctrine. I'll keep posting my opinions on current affairs and possibly even dabble in some politics as well. This particular post is due to Ms. Vernon starting her a blog on here. Read here funny and insightful blogs here.

Other than that, I think I'll stop here and figure out why this blog makes absolutely no sense to me right now and wonder why I ever posted it. Until next time (which might very well be today should I find some time), I hope you all have a great day.
